Search In Sane
Aaaarrrrrggghh!! You know that feeling. Of course you do. Its that feeling you get when youve been sitting at your computer for about five hours trying desperately to find a single piece of information that you originally thought would be simple to find and that now, over the course of time, you have become convinced a covert government organisation has hidden and only someone with 65 years of hacker experience can get hold of. You dont understand. All you want is a recipe for chickpea fudge that uses salt free butter. You dont want to make an atomic bomb. Although that information you could easily get hold of, you bypassed that page like two hours ago already. You didnt want to use it then, now youre not so sure.

Ok so chickpea fudge might not be the most popular foodstuff in the world, but there are plenty of vegetarians and vegans out there, loads of people who eat vegetables in weird and wonderful, organic ways. It really shouldnt be all that difficult to find. Besides it doesnt taste that bad, its interesting in an interesting way.

Back to the point however, why is it so difficult to find? Someone or several someones, because presumably there is more than one person out there with this recipe (it cant really be covert and underground, its not that special), are not making full use of search engine optimisation.

Search Engine Optimisation or SEO for short, is the optimal use of keywords or key phrases in your web site content that will increase your page ranking on search engines. That means that if the people with their recipes would relax their grips a tad and hire firms that specialise in SEO, you could type in the words chickpea fudge salt free butter and you would immediately be faced with a multitude of sites offering you your choice of salt free recipes. You could be on and off your computer in five minutes, instead of five hours.

SEO makes like easier for searchers. They are more likely to find what it is that they are looking for and less likely to want to throw their computers through the window, totally eschew all technology, give up shaving and seek simple living in a forest commune. SEO also greatly assists the owners of web sites. Because what is the point of creating and having a site unless it is to attract and retain visitors? Especially if you look at it from a marketing perspective. Imagine being an online marketer and having prospective clients search for five hours on the net before they find you. How long do you think that you would last? Roughly two weeks. If youre lucky. Thats where search engine and online marketers really come into their own and pay for themselves.

The good search engine marketers are ethical and professional and stick to the rules and guidelines as stipulated by Google. They do their utmost to stay abreast of the latest advancements, techniques and developments in their field and try to come up with their own methods of search engine optimisation.

And so we, as searchers implore all owners of web sites everywhere, please, make use of search engine marketers. It really is for your own good, it makes you so much easier to find and the easier you are to find the more likely we are to come back to you. Were lazy, we like easy.

And far, far more importantly, we implore you on behalf on our sanity. We are all delicate creatures, our minds balanced on a precipice, push us too much and how to make an atomic bomb out of string, coke and chewing gum starts to look like a very interesting web site indeed.
